James R. Gotwals is Of Counsel Member of Barrow & Grimm, P.C. With a legal career spanning over 49 years, he has earned a reputation for being an aggressive advocate, successful trial attorney, and effective mediator. After receiving a B.B.A. in Finance in 1972 and Law Degree in 1975 from the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Gotwals founded James R. Gotwals and Associates, Inc. in 1978. He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma State courts, the U.S. District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He has handled over 80 appeals and generated over 15 published cases. Mr. Gotwals has an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell®, and is listed in The Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers™. Mr. Gotwals enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending OU football games, boating, and golfing in his spare time.
